The Beginnings:

A love for photography developed into a true passion through two classes at American University.  The dark room became a second home and guidance from two outstanding professors, Iwan Bagus and Leena Jayaswal helped me explore what was possible with a lens.

The camera soon became not only a constant companion but a gravitational force that began to steadily influence travel locations and explorations.  Eventually, film work gave way to digital but I strive to capture images “as is”, relying on what the world offered in the moment and strive to have minimal editing—if at all—in post-production.

Now:

I love the natural world.  I love my feet in the dirt, the sand, the waves.  I love seeing the world transformed:  the heavens at night, the brilliant, soft palates of the dawn and in the extremes of weather.  I love being in moments when time grows wings and hours become minutes—being lost in flow makes me feel like I am flying too. The search for Wonder has seen its share of early, early wake ups and late, late nights.  The odometers and step counters have logged some serious miles into the wild, the beautiful and the unknown.  Sharing these moments, these places with others has become a secret thrill.
